Over the years I have been asked countless questions about getting out of debt, living a simpler life, balancing the sandwich generation and numerous other issues.
While I do my best to answer all questions, comments and emails, unfortunately, it’s not always possible. I love reading your questions and comments, and I hope you’ll keep them coming.
In the meantime, I’ve put together a list of FAQ’s that hopefully you’ll find helpful.
What is A Debt Free Stress Free Life all about?
A Debt Free Stress Free Life is all about eliminating debt and the corresponding stress associated with financial chaos. I spend a good deal of time writing about getting this very topic but also write about budgeting, saving, DiY Projects, party planning, business issues and more.
My personal philosophy is about embracing and accepting your circumstances as the first step towards living the life you truly desire. You can read more about me here.

I want to get out of debt. What’s the first thing I should do?
There are many possible answers to this question but for me, it comes down to one simple strategy: Stop spending money on anything that is not needed.
You’re going to need to pay the rent, put food on the table and gas in the car. Those are all necessary expenditures. You don’t need to go out to eat, buy another purse or lend family members money (money you probably don’t have). These actions probably got you into trouble in the first place and will do nothing to help get you out of debt.

I’m confused by all the coupon terms I see on Facebook and in coupon forums. What do they all mean?
Learning the language of coupons is like learning Greek! Print out the coupon lingo and abbreviations list and keep it handy until you’re using coupons like a pro.

I don’t have a big family and don’t eat food from a box. Can I still save money using coupons?
Absolutely! Everyone can benefit in one way or another from using coupons. It doesn’t matter if you’re a family of 12 or single. The degree to which you’ll save money will vary. You’re like me; I don’t eat food from a box, so my savings are generated from household and personal care products. I save thousands of dollars a year using coupons to buy these products and on occasion when I do use a coupon for a food product the savings are that much greater.
